  • EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – TE TĀWHARAU O TE WHAKATŌHEA – OPOTIKI – Full time role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to support the CEO in meeting organisational strategic obligations through the provision of high quality executive administrative services. This role does require occasional weekend work. Duties and responsibilities include collaborating with the administrative team to streamline and enhance operational efficiency. Facilitating communication between the CEO, Executive Team, and the broader organisation, to support growth and align with stakeholder objectives. Ensuring the CEO is informed and prepared to meet their strategic obligations, being responsible for end-to-end co-ordination of reports for monthly sub-committees, Bi-monthly Board and Annual meetings of TToTW and Te Pou Oranga o Whakatōhea (TPOW). Preparing, managing and communicating Executive schedules and calendars, and anticipating and coordinating the logistical requirements of the CEO. Based in our Whakatōhea Health Centre as part of the general practice team, (opportunity to work in a mix of on-site and/or online) the General Practitioner (GP) is a qualified and registered medical professional. You will be responsible for providing patient centered, culturally appropriate and individual holistic care to our patients. Working alongside our nursing and health care team, you will provide clinical guidance, assistance, education, and support.   • PRACTICE (CLINICAL) MANAGER – SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES – TE T`ĀWHARAU O TE WHAKATŌHEA – OPOTIKI – Full time role reporting to the Social and Health Group Manager in Te Pou Oranga o Whakatōhea.   • SMOKEFREE PRACTITIONER – SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES – TE TĀWHARAU O TE WHAKATŌHEA – OPOTIKI - This is a Fixed-Term Contract until 30th June 2025. The Smokefree Practitioner is responsible for providing evidence-based support, smoking cessation assessment and treatment to smokers within the Toirāwhiti locality rōhe, enabling them to be smokefree. Experience and skills required: Stop Smoking Practitioner Certificate, Level 3 National Certificate in Health, Disability and Aged Support, or a willingness to work towards gaining this essential qualification, competent with using computer software, client data bases, and similar applications, attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, and excellent client services approach, with good communication, and interpersonal skills.   • KAIAKO – DIPLOMA IN RONGOĀ MĀORI– TE WANANGA O AOTEAROA – OPOTIKI - We are seeking a Kaiako for the Diploma in Rongoā (Level 5) programme, aimed at providing tauira with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of Rongoā Māori. This is permanent, full-time employment based in Ōpōtiki. To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor in Matauranga Māori Level 7, related to Rongoa or Hauora Māori, an Adult Teaching qualification (NZCATT) Level 5 or equivalent or willing to complete during the first year of employment, and either attest equivalence from NZQA standards required to moderate this programme or hold a New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4, a minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience using traditional Māori healing methods, or other relevant work-related to Rongoā Māori would be an advantage.   • GOVERNANCE SUPPORT OFFICER – OPOTIKI DISTRICT COUNCIL – Full time role. In this position, you will ensure timely and accurate preparation of agendas, and minutes for Council and Council Committee meetings. This role requires clear and concise communications to be delivered to meeting attendees and staff and experience in coordinating governance meetings. For this role you will have previous experience in a similar role and/or 5 years’ experience in administrative support. Ideally you will have knowledge of meeting protocols and standing orders, knowledge of Local Government Act 2002, and general Local Government knowledge of processes.   • ICT SUPPORT OFFICER – OPOTIKI DISTRICT COUNCIL – Expertise of an innovative ICT Support Officer in a full-time capacity required. Responsibilities include supporting the ICT Service Manager and helping users by troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers and provide support, including new equipment set-up for new starts. Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience in a support role preferably in a large and complex environment, a tertiary qualification in ICT support or a field that is relevant to this role is advantageous, and a sound appreciation of systems, methodologies, techniques and technology in a Microsoft Windows environment.   • HOLIDAY PARK – RECEPTION TEAM – ZOES CAMPSITE LTD – OPOTIKI – Part time role of 16 hours/week minimum at Island View Holiday Park. Additional hours offered at busy times. Applicants must be available and willing to work at least 1 day on weekends, during school holidays, and occasionally on Public Holidays. Your duties alongside reception will be to manage guest arrivals and departures, accommodation and campsite bookings, and the camp shop. You will schedule, oversee and assist housekeeping team, identify maintenance and grounds care needs, respond to RSE worker requests and liaise with RSE employers and pastoral care. Reporting to our Orchard Managers, you will lead a small team in kiwifruit vine maintenance including harvesting, pruning, thinning etc. There are seasonal demands which require flexibility in hours, including weekends. Our orchards are spread across Opotiki, Tirohanga, Omaio and Te Kaha, you will be required to work at all our sites. We are looking for someone with a minimum 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a commercial kiwifruit orchard.   • SEASONAL SAMPLE COLLECTOR – HILLS LABS - BAY OF PLENTY – Full time contract for a fixed term period starting at the end of February ramping up in March and running through to May/ June. We are looking for Seasonal Sample Collectors to join our Team based around the Bay of Plenty (Katikati, Tauranga, Te Puke, Opotiki) for the upcoming Kiwifruit season. Our branch operates 7 days a week and collects and tests samples of kiwifruit from orchards to see if they meet the Zespri guidelines for export. We will have two types of fixed-term samplers: 1. Core Samplers - Potential to work up to 6 days per week (generally 10 - 30 hours/ week), 2. Part-Time Samplers - Potential to work up to 4 days per week (this will be more of a ‘supplementary’ role, but availability across 7 days of the week is still preferred). No experience is necessary and full training is provided. All samplers work on an “on-call” basis with 5 hours of guaranteed work every fortnight.
